We Love Haven Day!

On 25 April 2015, JCI Alabang conducted its We Love Haven Day in Haven for Children, Muntinlupa. A part of its Stairway to Haven project — wherein one of the points of interest is vocational training and values formation — kids in Haven were taught farming, dancing, baking, and arts and crafts.

In addition, JCI Alabang conducted its annual Books and Roses project (in cooperation with JCI Barcelona​) in commemoration of the Feast of St. George and World Book Day. JCI Alabang and the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity donated books to supplant the library and resources of Haven for Children whilst some children were taught how to make rose origamis and encouraged to share the roses to people they care about.

This project would not have been possible without the time spent by the numerous volunteers and resource persons… Mr. Romeo Cruz for your invaluable farming and agricultural knowledge, to Chef Herald and Chef Alexis for taking time to teach the children basic baking skills, and to our dance instructors, Zen Ely, Camper, Ariel and MM Siason, to our celebrity guest, Shine, for joining us at Haven.
