RFID Registration goes to Ayala Alabang

JCI Alabang and San Miguel Corporation in coordination with Barangay Ayala Alabang, held a special offsite RFID registration last July 17-18, 2015 for the residents of Ayala Alabang Village. Around 450 clients were serviced, representing approximately 1,000 cars installed with the free RFID kits.

“A huge number of the Ayala Alabang residents pass through the SLEX everyday. When we heard that the RFID team lead by Ms Nelly Argota is interested in going to Ayala Alabang, we contacted them immediately,” said JCI Alabang President Aimee Flordeliza.

“To gauge the demand, we opened 145 slots for priority registration. All the slots were taken in less than 24 hours; the 145 slots corresponded to around 380 vehicles. With this data, we convinced the RFID team to conduct a half-day dry run on July 17 to ensure a smooth July 18 full day registration,” she added.

JCI Alabang Treasurer, Janette Lim, was the project chairman for this event. She said, “Barangay Ayala Alabang’s role through the full support of Barangay Kagawad Pat Bocobo was instrumental in the event– allowing the use of the barangay facilities, free lugaw, refreshments, and logistics support.”

“With this project, we practiced the JCI way of connecting government, business, and the community—- Barangay Ayala Alabang, SMC RFID group, and Alabang and nearby residents. We thank Ms Nelly Argota and her great RFID team for coming to our village. We also thank all of the residents who availed of this service to make this event successful,” she added.

Ms Nelly Argota of SMC who leads the RFID implementation said, “this is the first offsite registration in non-SMC offices. I am happy with our partnership with JCI Alabang and Barangay Ayala Alabang. I look forward to working with JCI in other offsite events.”
