A former Overseas Filipino assigned in Singapore and Middle East, Armando “Butz” Bartolome began his journey in helping individuals choose on how to select a franchise. He travel destinations reached as far as the Middle East places like Dubai, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Upon his return 1993 to the country, he together with his spouse Lyndah set-up a company called GMB Franchise Developers. Now on its 25th year, GMB has grown by word-of-mouth. The couple has assisted over 300 businesses like Mang Inasal, Julies Bakeshop, Figaro, Goto King, Peanut World, Ahead Tutorial, Bayad Center, Potato Corner, Fiorgelato, Lots A Pizza and more. Most of these began as micro enterprise. Armando or “Butz” was given the honor by his clients as the Philippines’ Franchise Guru. He gives on seminars on How To Franchise your business, Franchising pros and cons and mentors those wanting to know if franchising is for them. He writes for the last 5 years in Business Mirror every Wednesday a column called “Franguru Speaks”. Last 2012 one of his books he has published entitled “Is Franchising For You?”, was awarded as the Book of The Year 2012 under the Profession Category by the National Book Development Board and Manila Critic Circle.

The company employed hearing-impaired people, and required employees to learn how to communicate with the deaf. And since he is a devout Christian like her grandmother, Dr. Cecilio Diokno also founded and chaired the Deaf Evangelistic Alliance Foundation (DEAF) which gave scholarship to the deaf community and introduced them to Christianity, standing by the company’s motto, “To make a difference for the glory of God.”

Luis “Luigi” Limlingan is no stranger to the finance world. He has 13 years work experience in finance primarily buy and sell side trading. He is licensed by the SEC as Certified Investment Solicitor. He has a BA in Management Economics, from Ateneo de Manila University and obtained MBA at London Business School.
His former roles include management positions in HSBC, ATR Maybank and Philips Electronics, and international experience from United Kingdom and Singapore. He has worked with start-ups and and established mutual funds and hedge funds.
Luigi is currently the head the sales effort of Regina Capital Development Corporation, an equities firm in the Philippines offering traditional and online trading.
Luigi is a regular source of opinion and information from One News Network, Inquirer, Philstar, Reuters, Business World, Business Mirror, ANC to name a few and during his free time does some regular hosting.
Last year, in collaboration with Bloomberg Philippines, he wrote the script for and hosted a segment entitled Stocks to Watch, which goes into a deep dive analysis of locally listed companies every week. At the same time, he joined the academe, as a part time faculty in Ateneo de Manila, teaching finance electives to undergraduates.

As a social entrepreneur, Julius believes that he has a responsibility to ensure that CARD thrives, especially after 5 years of seeing how the company that his dad started in 1986 is now having a positive impact on the lives of over 4 million underserved Filipino families. He is committed to work hard in making sure CARD would only pursue projects that are aligned to its purpose.
While microfinancing has already established itself as a very powerful tool in eradicating poverty, Julius has been able to really extend its social impact further by introducing numerous innovations : establishing clean energy value chains via distribution of solar, investments in social enterprises such as Hapinoy and Rags2Riches to further amplify impact across industries, harnessing mobile technologies for microentrepreneurs, venturing into Leasing to have multipler effects, and pioneering Business Development Services and Mga Likha Ni Inay to support community-based products to broader markets.

Cesca de Leon has a background in finance and banking prior to joining the family business. Nowadays, she is busy managing Hotdog On Sticks, Big City, and Sausage & Eggs, all are homegrown brands serving the Filipino’s penchant for hotdogs, sausages, and the local longganisa with over 100 stores nationwide.
More recently, she is director for operations for Nathan’s Famous Philippines, a 100-year-old hot dog brand from New York, well known for the annual hot dog eating contest every 4th of July.
This year, she co-founded Franchise World Link Philippines, a network of franchise brokers present in over 15 countries and with strengths in Asia, Europe and Africa.
She received her undergraduate from Ateneo de Manila University andher MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.

Benjamin Yan is a member of the legal profession and a proud father to his 2 kids. He graduated with honors from the Ateneo School of Law in 2009 and became a member of the Philippine Bar in 2010. After graduating from law school, he joined one of the largest law firms in the country, SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan. He was connected with the firm for almost 5 years,where he spent most of his time handling matters involving labor and employment relations for a variety of clients including small startup tech companies, large multinationals and BPOs. He also served a short stint with the Office of the President during the administration of former President Benigno Aquino III, where he served as a legal consultant on anti-corruption matters.
He serves as a volunteer lawyer for the Ateneo Legal Services Center, assisting indigent clients with labor complaints filed before the National Labor Relations Commission.

IDr. Charisse Gail Bantiling is a young Filipino Interior Designer who graduated from the country’s most prestigious design institution, Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) undertaking BS Interior Design in 2013 and is currently an active member of the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID). She is currently the Head of Design and Construction Management Division of Trends and Concepts.
