Blood Donation Drive
JCI Alabang was one with the Muntinlupa Blood Council during the recent Blood Donation Drive last Jul 4, 2015. Dozens showed up in the Barangay Ayala Alabang Social Hall to do their share in donating blood.
The participants were first screened by a doctor, the blood type was checked and tested, then the blood letting commenced.
Dra. Tess Filoteo, leader of the Muntinlupa Blood Council and regional officer of the Rotary Club, shared, “July is Blood Donor’s Month. We are going around the city of Muntinlupa to encourage blood donation. The demand for blood in our city is much higher than the supply. We are looking for more groups like Barangay Ayala Alabang, Rotary Club Alabang LAMPARA, and JCI Alabang to increase the awareness and ramp up blood donation.”
As of noon, the drive has collected more than 20 units of blood. This was a project of Barangay Ayala Alabang and Muntinlupa Blood Council, in coordination with JCI Alabang and Rotary Club of Alabang LAMPARA.
