MARIA VICTORIA J. MARTINEZ

2014 PRESIDENT

Maria Victoria “Vicky” Martinez, currently holds several positions at Eastern Group of Companies. Currently, she’s one of the youngest members of the Financial Executives of the Philippines (FINEX) where she’s part of the Affiliates committee. At age 24, she was the youngest delegate sponsored by the US Department of Agriculture – Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA-FAS), as part of the Philippine Delegation to the USA. She is a double degree holder of Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Applied Economics and Major in Management of Financial Institutions from the De La Salle University Manila. She finished her Masters in Applied Business & Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific, graduating with Distinction. In college, she became the President of AIESEC, an international student organization that develops leaders and promotes international relations through global traineeships. As the President of JCI Alabang for 2014, she aims to cultivate a new breed of individuals that has the heart for community service with effective and responsible leadership in business and government.

 

Meghann Umali

Secretary General

Meghann Umali is a Merchandising Assistant of Rustan Commercial Corporation, taking care of two of the Adult Private Label house brands and working with some of the most prominent and lauded designers in the country and worldwide. She graduated with a degree in Communication from Ateneo de Manila University and worked with various television and film production houses as a host and also as a producer. Meghann went on to pursue a career in marketing beginning with a managerial stint in the hospitality industry, during which she also acquired her Master’s Degree in Business at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. When not at work, Meghann enjoys playing tennis and football, reading and spending time with her family.

 

Mark Lester Baes

Vice President for Community Development

Mark Lester Baes is the president and co-owner of Philomena Properties Philippines, Inc., a company engaged in full-scale real estate and development with residential projects in Cavite and Laguna. After graduating Ateneo De Manila University BS Legal Management, he started as an independent contractor. Two years later, he joined his parent’s real estate firm, Shalimar Builders and Development Corporation. Furthering his training, he served as a Project Director in Property Company of Friends (Profriends). While in Profriends, he founded Philomena Properties with his younger brother Michael.

Community service has always been one of Lester’s main driving motivations to be successful in business. He is also interested in finding systematic, out-of-the-box solutions to the many existing societal problems, especially the plight of less fortunate children. When not working, he spends most of his time looking at the mirror saying, “Pogi mo talaga, bro”.

 

Aimee Flordeliza

Treasurer

Aimee Flordeliza is an Assistant Vice President in Midland Industrial Sales Corp, a company that distributes construction supplies with specialty in water systems. She is also a licensed real estate broker and appraiser.  Before joining Midland, Aimee took her Master’s Degree of Business Administration (MBA) in IESE Business School in Spain. Aimee worked for the Barcelona office of Schneider Electric España for her MBA internship. She held managerial roles for HSBC in customer engagement, training and communications. She is a proud alumna of De La Salle Zobel and Ateneo de Manila University (BS Management Engineering).

Not a stranger in leading teams, Aimee was president of IESE Asia Business Club and IESE Women in Business Club. She entered HSBC as a staff officer and chaired DSWS, the service arm of the Ateneo Student Council.  In her spare time, Aimee likes travelling, reading books, and playing tennis.

 

Michael Baes

VP for Membership

 

Michael M Baes or Mike is currently the Executive Vice-President for Engineering and Marketing at Philomena Properties Philippines, Inc., a real estate development company with the Philippine’s first boutique housing projects. He completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering at the University of California – Los Angeles. As a California licensed civil engineer, he worked on several heavy civil seismic retrofit projects as the lead project engineer, including that of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay Bridge in Northern California. The seismic retrofit of the Bay Bridge involved a complicated never been done before aerial construction maneuver, which was featured on Discovery Channel and National Geographic in 2009. During his free time, Mike’s passion as an entrepreneur is to develop innovative technologies & ideas to improve people’s lives and create a more efficient society. His personal hobbies include snowboarding, competitive running, and mixing electronic dance music.

 

Francis Jimenez

Vice President for Marketing

Francis Jimenez is an Internet Marketer with extensive experience in online lead generation and mobile marketing. He has done several online marketing campaigns for auto insurance, credit reports, dating and real estate. He also owned a call center that he used for his online marketing campaigns.

He is currently the marketing director of Zesty Visibility Group, a digital marketing firm that helps businesses all over the world improve their online and mobile marketing efforts. His goal is to help traditional businesses save money on advertising and marketing by focusing on cheaper and more effective systems and strategies..He is also a big believer of self-improvement and believes that everyone with the right motivation could be the best they can be. In his free time, he likes to go to the gym, watch movies, travel and spend time with his friends.

 

Patrick Bocobo

Vice President for Affiliates

Patrick “Pat” Bocobo is someone you would often see juggling different jobs and roles. Having a degree in Hotel Restaurant and Institution Management from De La Salle University College of Saint Benilde, he is currently General Manager of SLICE restaurant in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City. He was also recently elected as Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Ayala Alabang where he is Chairman of the Commission on youth and sports. Being an athlete most of his life, he is also the Team Captain of the Green Arches Globe United which is a first division semi-professional football team in the UFL league. A man of faith, he also serves in church as Lector and commentator and is active in the St. James renewal movement. On his free time, Pat enjoys spending time with his wife and newly born baby boy.

 

Miguel Mendoza

Vice President for Business Development

 

Miguel Mendoza is an entrepreneur who owns several businesses. He currently owns and operates Tom Jones Food Truck, and is the current president of the Carclub LanEvo Club Philippines. He owns an events company, Fuel and Aggressive Line, that specializes in managing events and projects for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Miguel is a chef by profession, having graduated from California School of Culinary art Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena. He brings in his enterprising spirit into JCI Alabang as Vice President for Business Development, to forge new ventures for the organization. His other hobbies include watching movies, going out with his friends and racing. He is a passionate person who wants to make a difference and help mold JCI Alabang into a great organization.

 

Jennifer Fidel

Vice President for Public Relations
Jen Fidel is armed with confidence, diligence and a willingness to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters, Jen is out to look for great opportunities to help the community. She has been looking for the perfect organization that involves philanthropy at the same time utilize her skills in public relations, people management and marketing. A degree in Business Administration in Southville International School and Colleges gave her the necessary skills to make a difference in today’s society. Currently working in a PR Agency, she welcomes the opportunities that working with an organization like JCI Alabang will bring.
