General Information on COVID-19

Fact 1: Diseases can make anyone sick regardless of their race or ethnicity.

Fear and anxiety about COVID-19 can cause people to avoid or reject others even though they are not at risk for spreading the virus.

Fact 2: For most people, the immediate risk of becoming seriously ill from the virus that causes COVID-19 is thought to be low.

Older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk for more serious complications from COVID-19.

Fact 3: Someone who has completed quarantine or has been released from isolation does not pose a risk of infection to other people.

For up-to-date information, visit CDC’s coronavirus disease situation summary page.

Fact 4: There are simple things you can do to help keep yourself and others healthy.

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; going to the bathroom; and before eating or preparing food.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

Fact 5: You can help stop COVID-19 by knowing the signs and symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

Seek medical advice if you

  • Develop symptoms

AND

  • Have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or live in or have recently traveled from an area with ongoing spread of COVID-19. Call ahead before you go to a doctor’s office or emergency room. Tell them about your recent travel and your symptoms.

Government Updates

Ruben Baes – Mar 22, 2020 – Quarantine pass:

Quarantine pass can be secured/issued, starting tomorrow, Monday, 3/23/2020, at Barangay office, Narra rd, Narra center, beside Ayala Alabang Association. Available to all. We require, Name and Address. For service providers, need the resident’s permission.

Fyi, This Quarantine pass is the mandate of the National to allow travel from your home to the outside. However, inside the territorial jurisdiction of Brgy Ayala Alabang, we have coordinated with PNP that aava and brgy id will be recognized and allowed pass thru. So really, no need for the Qpass. Also, we’re allowed 1 resident with driver to do essential. Again, this courtesy is only within Ayala Alabang. The quarantine pass is more needed from your home to outside of our barangay. Further, pls, be aware there are boundaries that some of the LGU are strictly not allowing entry/passage even with the Q pass.

Also, the new city ordinance of the 24 hrs curfew is the same as the National Home quarantine. The only difference is on the penalty, The city will remove city assistance like financial assistance, food package, and/or scholarship. Thus, it does not apply to us.

These people have chosen not to return to their families and to ensure our well-being and safety. Let us help them stay healthy too.
We are now focused on ordering PPEs for all these front liners including the DRRMO Incident Management Team who face suspected patients in the field.

The ABS CBN Foundation launched a public service campaign.  It is a partnership between food suppliers, manufacturers, the public and the LGUs.  The objective is to get food to the families that can’t afford it and neet it the most.  Food suppliers commit to inventory, the public donates money to finance the purchase, and the LGUs take charge of repacking and door to door delivery.  No photo description available.

Hi neighbors – we do need to feed at least 1600 families ( out of 7500 families) that are in dire need in Southville 3 . These are families that can’t feed their children at all . The church is preparing food packs for them worth around 500/ family / week x 4 weeks at least = 2000/family . We need to raise at least 3.2 million to sustain them for 4 weeks .
We need 160 families willing to adopt 10 families each @20,000 or 1,600 families to adopt at least 1 family @2000.

Can you find it in your hearts to adopt 1 to 10 or more families ?
